The Problem:

I was tasked to develop an overall concept and brand identity for a new mochi ice cream Brand with no market share or placement. From the name, to the logo, and the brand color pallette. I needed to establish the brands visual language and create an engaging, fun website, that not only showcases the flavors of mochi, but allows for e-commerce and especially mobile.

The Creative Solution:

I established brand guidelines to keep the design cohesive throughout multiple platforms . This mochi Brand needed to express a fun, happy, and playful feeling. After several different iterations, I decided upon the name Mochi Moji, a wordplay with the terms mochi and emoji. I then created the accompanying brand assets and developed a playful website that highlights the fun mochi flavors, but also steers customers toward purchases.
